MARNARDALE PATH CLOSURE:
There has been serious slippage on the Marnardale footpath leading up from Albion Road to Middlewood farm following recent heavy rain and snow. As a result the wooden bridgework over the previous slip has been damaged and is now dangerous. NYM National Park have closed the footpath and are currently assessing the damage and the repair work needed. The closure orders last until 11th August - but the National Park hope to have this very well used footpath repaired long before then.

WALL REPAIR - PATH CLOSURE:
Closure of Chapel Street, between New Road and The Openings, is expected between Tuesday 2nd February and Thursday 4th February.
Worried  traders on Chapel Street have been reassured by the contractor that the path will only be actually closed for three days, although NYCC Highways have put a six week closure order on it, to allow the safe taking down of the high adjoining garden wall, which has been cracked and bulging for years.
