FORGING AHEAD
After nine years selling his own paintings and other local artist's work, Dave Jeffery left the Old Forge on Bay Bank on the 30th April. However Forge Gallery (in the virtual form of www.forgegallery.co.uk) is to continue, allowing Dave to stay in touch with his past customers.
The premises revert to their previous name of the Old Forge, and Danny and Libby (or Liz) Norwell are setting up a business there on Bay Bank in early May.
Initially, they will be selling an assortment of items, including pictures, pottery and ornaments, until Danny has completed his backlog of joinery work.
Eventually, it is their intention to sell products made entirely in Robin Hood's Bay, such as wooden toys, fancy boxes and various gifts made of wood.
